A couple friends of mine are all over Thrice. Personally I gave them a shot and though I found they aren’t as bad as the awful single Image of the Invisible I couldn’t really get into them. I will admit they do have a couple pretty good songs, mostly notably Red Sky. BTW I gave their new album a quick listen this week and wasn’t impressed.

All that to say, somehow I stumbled onto Dustin Kensrue‘s solo album Please Come Home and it’s pretty good.. It’s a bit of a Johnny Cash wannabe schtick but it works for me. Actually a couple of the songs sound a lot like Ryan Adams, who I am a big fan of. Check it out. Seriously. Do it.
