Thanksgiving

Yesterday we attempted our first full on thanksgiving without Mom’s help. Given that Rachel and I are coming up on our 7th anniversary I’m surprised it took us this long to try.
Thanks to everyone who showed throughout the evening. We had a great time.
What you see above is the result of a days work, by Jae and I, on the perfect Turkey. Our three B’s, of butter (a pound of it herbed, then pushed under the skin of the bird), bacon (a pound of it drapped over the top of the bird) and bag (a turkey oven bag, one of the great marvels of modern technology) meant we had absolutely no basting to worry about and a delicious bird to eat. Note the alliteration.
FTR Rachel and Faith bought the store made pumpkin pies.
