Man alive. Listening to the radio broadcast of the final decision and reaction. Politics make me sick. Here’s what gems we got fromt the various Talking heads put forth for interviews.
“This is a unanimous choice” (really? who was that ignatieff guy?)
“Stephan Dion is going to make a wonderful PM” (I musta misread all this hype…I thought they were electing a liberal leader, not a PM?)
“The whole party is excited about this decision”(Next interviewee, a young liberal crying her eyes out over the choice)
“..when we decide to take down the government..”(Hmm. I suppose this is a natural extension to thinking you just elected a PM, but c’mon – you’re not going to do this on your own. Maybe they needed a mathematician as the leader?)
Like you mentioned before, it seems like the entire party has the idea that democracy was not served when the Liberals lost the last election. Such arrogance!
(Yes conservatives lets see your happy dance) Being green has always been a one trick pony thing but going green by buying credits isn’t good enough for Canadians. Stephan Dion hopefully will be able to implement some of the ideas he brought forth in his campaign but the Liberals will have to go green in a fiscally responsible manor and that will not be easy
